Questions to Consider

Answering a few simple questions will help you determine if you and your loved one are candidates for the specialized care offered by Natural Surroundings Adult Day Service.

• Would you like to continue to care for your loved one at home?

• Would you like to have time to care for yourself? Run errands? Have fun?

• Would you like to know that your loved one is safe and cared for while you are at work?

• Do you worry about your loved one suffering from social isolation?

• Do you worry that your loved one is not stimulated or motivated?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you and the one you love could benefit from our full or part time adult day service.

Mission

Our mission is to provide the people of Mankato and surrounding communities with quality, comfortable adult day care services that enable individuals to remain in their homes independently or with their loved ones for as long as possible

Licensed Facility

Natural Surroundings is an Adult Day Service licensed by the State of Minnesota, Department of Human Services. This license ensures the staff and the facility are approved by the state.

Services

• Assessment of needs and abilities

• Individualized treatment plans

• Safe, secure environment

• Referrals to other services

• Health screening and monitoring

• Companionship and support

• Involvement in social activities

• Discussion of daily current events

• Reminiscent of family, friends and careers

• Daily Range of motion exercise

• Games, both active and mental stimulation

• Arts and crafts

• Field trips to community social events

• Intergenerational activities

• Assistance with activities of daily living (if needed)

• Nutritious snacks and noon meals (adapted as necessary)

• Support services for clients and caretaker(s)

• Bathing service available at an additional cost

• Transportation (additional cost)

• Monthly vitals checked by RN

• Medication assistance

• Laundry Services (additional cost)

• Involvement in social activities and field trips

• Beauty shop (additional cost)
